Synthetic Seas

I first saw Synthetic Seas a few years ago at a local Surfrider meeting. I can’t tell you what a difference on my life it made. It had me looking for products that weren’t packaged in plastic, had me trying to recycle everything (even though San Diego only recycles 15% of what goes into the blue cans), picking up any trash I found on the beach and generally being a better member of the ecosystem. I’m super stoked that Patagonia stepped up and got part of this film on the interweb as part of their Ocean’s As Wilderness campaign. Please take the paltry 6 minutes to watch the short and start affecting change in your house. You can order the full, life changing DVD from www.algalita.org.

It’s really too bad this video isn’t available in it’s entirety, but then, maybe you are rich and can donate enough to make that happen?
