Surfboardbuilders.com is essentially a middle man between you and your custom board. It’s a cool web app though and lets you play with color options like bottom, deck and pinlines. If you know the dims you are looking for though, you’ll find it’s editing capabilities lacking.

This is the best site I have ever come across in relation to board-building. In fact, there doesn’t seem to be any other. How great is it that I can build my board the way I want and even watch it being built? Thank God I don’t have to Ventura or San Clemente to find a good shaper. They are all right here on my laptop. Amazing. Someone should have thought of this years ago.

Holy shit. One of the guys from WEND magazine is going to go 3 months without consuming ANYTHING that has 1 time use plastic associated with it... No coffee lids, cellophane wrapped anything, packaging, salsa containers, yogurt, straws, dish soap containers, toothpaste, etc.

CJ Kanuha is desperate for money. So desperate in fact, that he tried to standup surf a wave generated by falling lava. Taken alone, that might just have been some ballsy playing around, but it's pretty clear from the fact that he and a photographer payed for a helicopter so they photograph it, that it's a big publicity stunt. From the photos it looks like all he got from the effort was melted wax and burned shins. Hilarious.
