CJ Kanuha is desperate for money. So desperate in fact, that he tried to standup surf a wave generated by falling lava. Taken alone, that might just have been some ballsy playing around, but it’s pretty clear from the fact that he and a photographer payed for a helicopter so they photograph it, that it’s a big publicity stunt. From the photos it looks like all he got from the effort was melted wax and burned shins. Hilarious.

so what!? we bodysurfed very close to flowing lava in the mid ’80′s, difference is, we didn’t/don’t run around with camera crew shooting every move we make, kids these days.
