I happened on this sweet homebrew ride at the Cliffs a few weeks back.
It would be really fun to shut off access into and out of the cliffs for about 10 years. Then on February 8th 2017, we could all go there and marvel and the amazing wave riding vehicles the surfers had invented.

Damn! thats amazing. the cliffs is such a breeding/proving ground for innovation. used to live right off w. point loma blvd, and saw some crazy surf craft in the water around there. miss that, to be honest.
too bad they are so secretive. although, i guess that’s part of the charm.

Coolest board in the water! That surfer dude is random!

Got 3 Great days this time last year at the cliffs. My idea of the perfect setup. Some hollow South Garbage, Mellow N. Garbage and a fun session with Keith M at Subs. I was especially stoked as I just picked up a new bonzer egg.
The locals thought we were crazy flushing our 3/2 because we were so warm. I swear we should have worn shorties.
I’d move there in an instant.

The board looks like it wants to move fast. Did you see him make it go? A mover for sure!

I did not get the chance watch him make it go. I wish I had. The cliffs can be great, but are also very fickle. Not sure where those guys go when it gets difficult to find waves there.

Nice, I think that Mr. Frye calls those “Simmons Fish”. He’s been making those for a while, all the way up to 12′ I don’t know know whose version of the Simmons this guys holding. Great for the flats spots out there, I suppose.
