Shark Attacks on Urchin Divers

46% of White shark attacks were on divers, but in attacks in which the victim was collecting marine creatures, only 10% of attacks were against urchin divers. Abalone divers didn’t fair so well though in this statistic, as 56% of those attacks were against them.

Think Baja violence is confined to TJ? Yeah, I did too. I stopped 6 hours south in El Rosario for tacos last Friday, on Saturday there was a drive by shooting at the La Mijita loncheia. La Mijita is popular with locals and gringos and by all accounts was run by generous people. The targets were 3 'self employeed' area men, but the husband and wife owners were hit by stray bullets. The wife just passed away.
