Shaper Allan Gibbons
Compared to the number of guys mowing foam, there are relatively few shapers making composite boards. I wonder how many, if any of them also make furniture, are accomplished painters and have 30 years of shaping experience? Santa Barbara shaper Allan Gibbons is one of the few who possess this seriously diverse set of talents.

Allan is a true Surfer-craftsman-artist. Not to mention an all around nice guy.

Too bad the Surfer mag photo gallery isn’t working because there are some cool photos of a trippy flex tail fish that he made on there.
Alan Gibbons is one of the main handshapers at Channel Islands.
