Saturday will be a great day for the Sacred Craft. There should be swell in the morning, and wind in the afternoon, which gives you an excuse to get out of the water and check out all the sweet sliders you wish this Bush/McCain economy would let you buy.

Also, for you wetsuit freaks, Patagucci will be giving away the new front zip. You gotta fill out a card at the booth to win, which gives you a perfect opportunity to tell Gerry you like his tube riding.

Foam And Function is the site of the mostly excellent Kirk Gee, producer of Ether by Andrew Kiddman, distributor of surfboards and T-Shirts and such. Kirk distributes for the Swift Movement and can set you up with a Mini-Simmons slider as featured in the Journal. Kirk also needs to put his website's menu at the top, upon which time I will remove the 'mostly' preceding 'excellent'.

Think Baja violence is confined to TJ? Yeah, I did too. I stopped 6 hours south in El Rosario for tacos last Friday, on Saturday there was a drive by shooting at the La Mijita loncheia. La Mijita is popular with locals and gringos and by all accounts was run by generous people. The targets were 3 'self employeed' area men, but the husband and wife owners were hit by stray bullets. The wife just passed away.
