Nathan Oldfield recently shot Ryan Burch and Eric Snortum surfing Tom & Jon Wegener’s Alaias…

I surf with Ryan quite a bit at various Encintas and Cardiff breaks. Whether he’s nose riding, throwing buckets on a thruster, riding a wooden plank or his homemade finnless contraption with the McDonalds lams in overhead stormy windswell (leashless), the dude rips.
Nice work as always Nathan. Makes me wish I hadn’t gone gay for Chase Burns last week. Enough internets. I’m looking for some wax and going for a surf.
I’d never heard of him before now and I have no idea what he looks like. He may even have man boobs, but fuck it… I’m going gay for Chase Burns based on his editing. Sorry MMM and sorry Chase. Hope you don’t mind getting man-stalked.

I’ve been crusing Google Earth allot during this flat spell. Through a combination of user photos, the new timeline feature and ocean terrains, I’ve found that Portugal is HOLDING. From this picture I found while looking at user’s photos, it like a few beings know it too…
You can view this location without GE on Panoramio.
This Thursday the present will be screening with the Matson 2 at Shelter Surf Shop in Long Beach. Good chance to see it if you didn’t, great chance to watch that insane alaia barrel at the end again if you have.
Also, you can fondle some insane sliders like this one:
The lovely Maggie Marsek (you may know her as Miss Surfy Surfy 2009) has a booth Saturday and Sunday at the Encinitas Street Fair. It’s going to be right across from the Soft Spra car wash.
You should stop by and leaf through the prints. It’s like looking through records only you don’t have to spin them on anything to hear beautiful music.

Hanging Five is a movie about art and surfing that looks at why the surf culture supports and creates art. It comes to us from the filmmaker who brought us Riding The Wave, which is a great look at capitalism in surfing.
I just found this listing for a fabled Black’s key on Craigslist. The price? 2,000 dollars, no pass included, so park at your own risk.
I’m moving, and no longer will need my key to the gate at Blacks. This is your one and only chance to get a key. This is just the key, no pass included. Park at your own risk.

A famous long boarder’s brother once told me how he found one in the lock. I heard another guy tell a story about a ‘friend’ who ‘just happened to look’ in the back of a truck parked at the bottom and see a set of keys there. He promptly relieved the keychain of the rare one. You know, as cool as it would be to have a key, I’d rather take the goat.
Do you have a black’s key story?
Soon as I hit it big, I’m going to commission Reuben Margolin to build me one of his kinetic wave sculptures. But first, we’ll need to go for a surf. My favorites are at 5:38 and 7:12.
If you read the erBB enough, eventually you’ll find something as good as this wedged in between all the right wing propoganda posts:
