So true. The tour is still cool to watch and see how it’s all progressing, but a lot of the stuff going on today is closer to what the average surfer can appreciate/take part in. Films like this just open up whole new avenues that most surfers don’t even think about. Like you said there is a large majority who will have no interest but that makes it no less relevant or inspiring.
It’s cool to see that the finless aspect is pervasive. A few local groms have already handcrafter their own alaias around here and are riding them on the good days. It’s opening a lot of eyes and it’s cool to see it taking hold at a really local level for the simple sake of enjoying riding waves and interacting with them in a different way.
Chris, we’re working on the DVD with a soundtrack CD as an extra and being a little held up as we clear rights etc. Then it’ll be out. Believe me I’d have it out now if it were easier. Keep an eye on SafetoSea as I post progress there. Also you can email me through the site and express your interest. I’ve got a running record of every one and they’re in with a red bullet when it’s finished.
Thanks for asking. M.

Why couldn't these guys take the Cardiff reef sup crew with them? We could have all chipped in to make it possible. -comment-
The End Of The Road. Why we'll have no seafood left in 50 years. I ate my entire seafood quota for the year the other week in North Carolina.

I’ve been lucky enough to see the film in full. Those at the NYC surf film festival are in for a treat.
