Justin Cote has an opinion piece up on Transworld surf on why he hates the fish and why he thinks you should too. I can understand it if Mr. Cote likes to do the thruster mush hop but I don’t understand why he wants you to flail about like this too.

I’ve known Justin Cote my whole life. If you need him you can find him staggering through the back alleys of Encinitas at 2 am with vomit on his shirt and no money in his pocket.

ahh, the “off-the-lip”, “ripping”…shredding the gnar as it were. we all cant get enough of that bottom to top chestnut thrown one after the next while puffy cheeks and little frowny-faces look back at us from behind the corperate logos. is it “sick-hits” or “sic-hits” anyway, that’s “ripping”!

I concur with mr cote, the fish is a terrible surf craft. I also think that his comment regarding longboards is a fools words, they should also not be ridden. nor bodyboards they are for an abomination to the surf society.
A bonzer is an outdated design also and for this reason should not be considered and I would kindly request that all shapers stop making hulls, eggs, spoons and hybrids for the same reason. Anyone riding a surf mat or bodysurfing are an embaressment to the plight of human progression and should halt their sea going compleately. The thruster suffers the opposite flaws and has been advanced too far so that any style is lost in exchange for childish tricks. Tow in boards are only used by those too weak to paddle and guns are for poorpers stuck in the past.
I therefore propose that you dont surf at all, you’ll be much happier safe in the knowledge you haven’t made a decision for yourself.
