Gerry Lopez recounts his first surf at pipe. I’m sure he has given an interview on, or talked about this somewhere before but it’s the first time I’ve ever read or heard the story. True to form, the man who would recieve the deed to Pipe if the ancients ever give one out, spends the first few paragraphs talking about being humbled by the wave.
