Custom Gary Hanel

A few weeks ago I picked up a shaped blank from Gary Hanel. Gary was kind enough to let Maggie shoot some pics while I picked his brain on my new fish, blanks, bonzers and anything else I could think of asking an underground legend.

The board is a 5’10″ x 15 1/2″ x 20 1/2″ x 16 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ fish. The template looks like the perfect blend of traditional fish characteristics, yet the pulled in nose and rails are much closer to a modern shortboard.
