Sucks To Be A Tuna

Friday, October 31st, 2008

What if a building sized machine drove into a forest and started scooping up all the animals around you. That’s what it’s like being a tuna. I also like this microdocs film: big fish.

Push, via Patch

Friday, October 24th, 2008

Over at the surfer/illustration blog Patchies Hideout, Patch has illustrated a few surf bloggers. ResinTint and Warm Jet (blogs you should know) are represented, but my favorite illustration is Push:

I’ve got this deep curiosity about who Pushing Tide is. I dig his wordsmith approach to blogging, his nearly lyrical posts. I dig his dawn patrol ninja vibe… operating alone, riding the waves that would have gone un-ridden. I imagine that if surfing was this important thing that had to be done to keep the world safe, Pushing Tide would be out there at those insane hours… for the rest of us.
